I am currently a sociology PhD Candidate at the University of Southern California. My research areas are sociology of religion and culture. My disseratation project is to investage the social-constructed meaning of 'being religious' , through looking at the revival of Confucianism in contemporary China.

On-going research projects:
- 'Being Confucian': the Revival of Confuicanism in Contemporary China (working title for dissertation)
- 'Heart and Virtue: the revival of Confuican education in contemporary China' (Project sponsored by the John Templeton Foundation)
- 'Transmission of Religious Across Generation' (project sponsored by the John Templeton Foundation, a 3-years project researching the transmission of religion of 3-4 generations families. For more details, see here)
